A product of Eniola Farms
When we talk about palm oil in Nigeria, it is generally believed that Edo Palm oil is the best; reason being that others tend to have an offensive smell, and aren’t so red.
Growing up, we didn’t use palm oil much because for some reason, it was associated with poverty (perhaps because it was really cheap compared to its imported counterpart, vegetable oil).
When I made an attempt to try out palm oil, the soup was terrible, because of the smell and the colour that didn’t come out well. It was easy to conclude that this was why we didn’t cook with palm oil when I was little.
But then, we established Eniola Farms, and at the beginning, we would sell off all produce right there, on the farm (it was more convenient). But then we evolved and as part of social responsibility, we decided to bring some produce back to town, for easy accessibility of consumers. And this began the necessity to try out the product (which is an essential step in marketing). And I was amazed at the taste. It was nothing compared to what I stuck in my memory about palm oil.
I asked questions and did some research, only to discover that the outcome of the palm oil (as with any other product) is largely dependent on the input (the quality of seeds used), as well as the process of extraction.
Eniola Farms is lucky to have seasoned and we’ll experienced people taking charge of our food processing.
Eniola Farms palm oil is one of the best you will taste; it has no odour, it is beautifully red, thick and gives a sweet taste to stews and soups.
