Deep conditioners are essential in hair routines, especially the African hair.

Growing up, we just knew that a series of products would be used on our hair at the salon but even most hair dressers couldn’t explain what each one did. The usual routine (which still exists till date), is the hair wash (after perm retouching, if you like), followed by regular conditioner, and then a rinse before further hair styling. On special request though, you could get the hair deep conditioning which would cost an extra buck or two.

But ask the hairdresser back then, what the deep conditioner was for, a common response would be ‘it is sha good for your hair’.

Deep conditioners are meant to strengthen your hair, repair damaged hair, help the hair maintain moisture and improve density.

How to use Kykinkz deep conditioner

1. Wash the hair thoroughly with Kykinkz shampoo (it helps clean out scalp and strands, to allow other products work well) click here for more information.

2. Rinse hair thoroughly, squeeze excess water out and apply deep conditioner to the hair. Massage well into hair and scalp, using your fingers.

3. Cover with a shower cap or heat cap for about 5 minutes.

4. Remove the cap, massage some more, and rinse off thoroughly.

5. Depending on the level of damage, you can repeat process twice monthly.

6. It’s okay if some of the herbs don’t come off. The product should keep working in the hair and scalp for about two weeks.
