Ibadan Business Festival is the flagship event of the Ibadan Business Hub.

Ibadan Business Hub is a capacity building organization with a mission to Reposition Ibadan through the growth and development of small and medium scale businesses. The vision of the hub is to positively impact the economic growth of Oyo State, while putting in effort to help small and medium scale businesses thrive beyond the norm cycle of one year, thereby changing certain narratives about Ibadan, and Oyo State at large.

The first edition of Ibadan Business Festival held in 2018 at Trans Amusement Park, Bodija Ibadan, and has consistently held every year since then.

Ibadan Business Festival is primarily a trade fair, but it brings with it a vibe of thanksgiving; a joyful arena, a place where new friendships are forged while old ones reconnect, a place where Business owners get a chance to unwind and be in a celebratory mood.

There is nowhere else Business owners are celebrated as Ibadan Business Festival, because it is a festival that is centered around businesses; who of course are responsible for driving the commerce of any economy and as such responsible for economic growth.

Ibadan Business Festival 2023 will hold as follows:

Dates: 15th, 16th and 17th December 2023.

Ibadan Business Festival is supported and endorsed by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Senator Dr. Mahood Olalekan Balogun Alli Okunmade II; and the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII).

The Ibadan Business Festival 6.0 has partnered with Dawn Commission and well over ten media houses, in order to achieve a louder resounding success than we have ever done in the past.

Ibadan is a city where a lot of greatness has been forged in terms of its people resources; but due to high level of skill migration, the narrative began to change about the city. Amongst others, narrative has it that Ibadan is backward, and a place where inferior and low quality products/ services abound.

Largely now referred to as the brown roof city, and brandished mostly by referrals to people with deep intonation; the narrative about Ibadan quickly went south and out of control.

We, however, who not only live in Ibadan but also have vested interest in it, have seen the need to take the narrative back!

And while not arguing the fact about the brown roofs doubt in our city, the world needs to know we are not defined by the outlook but by the rich history and heritage held in and reflected by those roofs.

And just as our warriors in the past stopped at no lenght to give the history we have today, the stakeholders will strive relentlessly to get the narrative about our city right, starting with a showcase of the true representation of our business environment in Ibadan.
